[He was a little worried at first, afraid it might be too much for her. But upon hearing her cheering and laughter, Eustace relaxes and smiles above her as he lets the stallion run freely, following the long road as they get nearer and nearer towards the trees. The road continues through it, so soon they leave the open fields and enter the forest, trees now whizzing by them as they gallop through. It's all a bit of a blur, but eventually the stallion slows, the road no longer straight and even as it was before.
Now at a walk, Eustace glances down at Lyria, the sounds of the forest now surrounding them, from the rustle of the trees, to the birds singing, and the steady beat of Nyx's hooves.]
[ It takes her a moment to finally respond to Eustace's question, still feeling the rush of excitement running through her veins. It was exhilarating- a sensation she had only experienced very few times in her life. Scary... but fun!
Her words come out in pieces as her chest heaves from the laughter. ]
Th... that was... so... so fun!
[ As she allows the sounds of the forest to calm her further, a peace settles around them. Lyria feels weightless as she falls back against him. No longer feeling the need to tense up and attempt to maintain her own balance. ]
[A light smile as he lets her rest against him, letting Nyx take the lead as they amble along. It won't be too much farther, but he wants to let Lyria enjoy the ride as long as she can.]
Mm... After racing on speedships, I wonder.
[A small chuckle.]
But if they ever show up, I can let them have a ride, too. Maybe you could learn and teach them.
[ Her gaze seems distant as they speak. Eyes fixated through the light in the trees and towards the sky that was floating above them. ]
Mm... yeah. I'd really like that. [ To see them again. To let them experience all the things she had witnessed here. To show them the new things she could do.
Lyria's shoulders relax more, and she leans further into Eustace's warmth for that same comfort she's received so many times since arriving here. ]
I think I'd want to teach them about dreamotion first! And all the fun things they could create with it. Maybe we could even learn to fly by ourselves... without an airship!
I'm actually a little surprised I don't see more people flying around.
[But such sweet, innocent goals... He hopes he'll be able to help her get her wish. Of course, it would help if they were to begin with.
And now they have arrived in a rather large meadow, with flowers and grass, and most importantly space, plentiful. Here he brings Nyx to a halt and slides down before holding his arms out to her to either jump or slide down into.]
[ Flying... maybe that was something she could work on. To be able to reach the sky again-
Her thoughts drift back down to the ground though when the horse stops, and Lyria joyfully leaps into Eustace's arms when they are extended out to her.
In the rush activities that lead them here she had nearly almost forgotten their purpose for the ride. But... there was no sense backing down now, not when they've already made their way here. ]
[There's just a small spin when he catches her before he sets her down. He'll then loosen Nyx's tack so he can roam free without much hindrance before turning to Lyria.]
[ The spin, while sudden, was much appreciated as a string of happy giggles erupts from the back of her throat.
It helped, in a way, to lessen the nerves that tried to creep in the moment her feet landed on the ground.
With a nod towards Eustace Lyria will look outwards toward the open area before taking in a deep breath and pushing forward to stand several yards away from him.]
... I am.
[ She places a hand to her chest. Concentrating... feeling the swirl of emotions given off by what she could sense was the restless Primals. They must have been as scared as her. To be so far away, and only have a piece of them in this world. However, in order to protect her friends, this is what she wanted to do. She only hoped that the Primals would want to do the same. ]
Please... [ Lyria called out as she closed her eyes. Her hand still pressed against the crystal.
This is the first time in a long time she has called out to them without the help of Gran. It felt lonely in some regards, to be calling out their names alone, but she steeled herself through it. ] Please, lend me your aid...
[ The crystal began to give off that same, shimmering light that it had done time and time again, and for a moment it nearly encapsulated her entire figure.
Slowly, steadily, she will breathe out the name— ]
[Although Eustace has seen this many times before, it is strange for her to do this without Gran. He even briefly imagines the young captain standing right there next to her, Vyrn floating on her other side.
...It really is so strange...and he also wonders if she will be able to do it at all. Yet the light that surrounds is proof that something is happening, and he steps back just a little in case the primal will need the room—but not too far in case something happens. The brightness of the light does make him need to close his right eye and raise his hand to cover it out of caution, but Yggdrasil...
A safe one to try. Will she appear? He thinks he sees something forming, particles of light converging in front of Lyria...]
[ It feels as though it had been so long since she last called out to someone. Yet despite having done is so many times in the past, the light shines bright enough that even she has to close her eyes...
... she didn't expect what she was going to see when they light began to fade, though.
There floating just a few inches away from her, was Yggdrasil. At least... that's who she thinks it was!?
She was smaller, much smaller than she had ever seen her before. And as Yggdrasil emerges the primal chimes happily and begins to encircle Lyria in the air.
Cue the girl turning to look at Eustace with the most confused look on her face. ]
I... I did it just like I always do! But she's...! [ SMALL. SO SMALL? ]
[...He almost wants to poke, but he doesn't, instead just stepping a little closer to look. He knows the primal is one of the friendlier ones, but he still keeps some distance for various reasons.]
[ When Eustace mentions her name, the Primal will chime happily once again, her face expressing something of a confused delight- perhaps she was simply content with being summoned.
Yggdrasil peers down at herself, head tilting to the side before directing her attention to the two of them. ]
I- I am not sure. I think she is just as confused as we are... [ Yggdrasil blinks before hovering over to Eustace as well and giving him a once over.
She peers at herself again, then to him, and again back to herself. The chimes are lower now, but she doesn't seem to be frowning. ]
Hmm... I think she's wondering why she's so tiny. At least, that's what I feel. There seems to be a lot of confusion... [ Just like all of them, apparently.
Lyria gives a sympathetic look to the Primal, who merely nods her head in response. ]
But she's not hurt! Yggdrasil, would you mind showing us some of your powers? [ Oh!! Testing something out??
Again Yggdrasil will chime, a bit enthusiastically, before closing her eyes and concentrating on the ground.
... Except when she tries to, the earth in the spot she chooses to move merely digs itself up, as if attempting to plow a small area for gardening. ]
It's...possible given that she's in such a small form. Unless she's somehow still connected to our world differently from us, she would be following the same rules. That means instead of the usual mana she draws on from our world, it would be dreamotion. If she can learn to harness it like we do, she may be able to regain her strength.
Ah, you're right! Did you hear that, Yggdrasil! You're going to be fine! [ She balls her hands into tight fists will looking encouragingly over to the Primal who seems... still rather confused by it all. But she will nod, regardless, and go back to attempt to plow the small patch- ]
Which means I have to get stronger with my dreamotion, too! If I can do it... maybe that will help them, too!
