[She hopes that he can feel that effect that he always has on her, between the smile that interrupts the kiss or the genuine tenderness that she pours into it, or the warmth that bleeds into both of them, she hopes that he knows just how much she needed this and cherishes it... just like every other quiet moment that they share with each other.]
Much...
[A soft whisper against his lips when he pulls back, but her long lashes flutter when she opens her eyes to look at him.]
[He takes another kiss, lips lingering and rubbing gently against hers before he pulls back so he can pull her into a deeper embrace once more, his face burying into her neck.]
[She pulls him into that embrace, her hand cradling the back of his head as she buries her face into his hair, nuzzling it.]
Just... stay like this for a little while?
[There's a lot more to her request than what she voice aloud, but the way that she holds him hopefully makes it clear. Stay like this until she's ready to let him go... their journey back into Orkili can wait.]
[At least for now, she thinks. They can worry about it tomorrow when they wake up, and while she wants to help Jack and the Queen, she wants to help Eustace more. At the end of the day, he is what matters the most to her—everything else can and has to wait.]
Then we'll worry about everything else later.
[She shifts in his arms, searching for their blanket so that she can drape it over them and move back where she belongs, tucked safely against him.]
[She agrees. On both counts. She doesn't want to sleep either, but she knows that they should. Still, it won't stop her from leaning in to kiss him again.]
If there's something I can do to help keep them away, then... tell me.
[That much she can handle. She wants more, needs more, but she won't ask it of him now. Perhaps later, after they wake up and are more rested will she say so. For now, she presses herself to him so that not only can he feel the warmth of her dreamotion, but of her, too... and she can feel his.
His, that still remains that strong pillar for her in times like this. His, that chases away all of her worries, even for a time. His, that she loves and cherishes so very much. So much that the terror of it all going away at a moment's notice is what will push her forward in the days to come.
She wraps her arms and legs around his, locking them together as she buries herself in his chest.]
[He'll keep her locked in close, and he'll exchange one last kiss with her before he gently strokes her back and hair, wanting to remember the feeling of her warmth and body so that should he sleep and dream, he'll be able to remember it and be reminded again of what he has here and who he is fighting so hard for.
And although it will take some time for him—and probably her—he will eventually fall asleep.
There... It's not a dreamless one, but it's at least calm. Again he briefly faces that "other self" of his, but all he does is smirk and disappears again before his subconscious drifts into a normal sleep cycle. And due to all the exhaustion mentally, physically, and emotionally, he'll be in a deep, heavy sleep even past morning.
But at the very least, when he awakens he'll feel more stabilized and no longer feel as if something is trying to crawl into his own skin and take over. Yet, he also doesn't feel it's completely gone. More like a lurking shadow, something there that's not quite his. It leaves him wondering, and he'll make the decision to contact 76. At the very least, it would be good to have someone else other than Tifa know about his condition.
...But that will be later. For now, he just wants to be with his wife, his family, and take the much needed rest. At the very least that well help defend him for whatever is happening with him now...]
[After the month that was the last, it felt only fitting that they get away for a while. Between the dreamscapes, Orkili, and then the nightmares, they had both agreed that a date of sorts was in order—a need to escape from their realities for a little while and just be in each other's company without the worries that come with their day-to-day life in Reverein. So naturally, with the café closed for holidays for a few days and the animals in Mirabelle's care, it takes them out of the town, and up to Dragefjell for a couple night's stay at the hot springs resort.
And somehow, on the way, Tifa is suddenly plagued with small, bubbly hearts that follow her wherever she goes. Why? She has no idea, but she's been trying to pop them whenever they appear, only for more to form.
Just going to ignore those as they walk through the streets of Dragefjell. It's been quite some time since they last visited, and the place has changed and grew since then. The streets are busier, the shops are brighter, and it seems that even they have come out for the lovers specials, some stalls celebrating love the way that Reverein down below is.
Waving another bubble that appears when she glances up at Eustace, her eyes spark with excitement.]
[He is also noticing the little hearts... Well hard NOT to given how prevalent are, and he has a few around him, too. Given the nature of this world, he can only assume it's another strange effect going on and ignores it for now—while also watching his cute wife pop them every now and then.]
[She doesn't flinch back from him, but those sure are more red hearts fluttering up around her, these ones not popping but simply bouncing right off her.]
