[When he leans in like that, she tips her head away, but she surprises him with a sudden, quick peck on the lips.]
I think a surprise would be more fun, don't you?
[She knows that isn't a tradition—that it's typically the bride's dress that everyone can't see until the day, but for Tifa, she'd rather wait until she sees him standing at the altar to see it for the first time, too.]
[He removes his hand from her waist only so that he can gently cup her cheek with his palm, thumb gently brushing against her skin just beneath her lip.]
I never thought I'd be looking forward to something as much as this.
[It's not like they really need it, either. They really are practically married. So with a light smirk he leans in again, his lips brushing against hers as he murmurs in a low voice.]
Should we just elope?
[He's half joking. It's definitely not the first time this has been thrown out between them.]
You also know that everyone would come for us if we didn't have the wedding.
[Reverein's first, and all of their friends are looking forward to celebrating with them. And Tifa's expression softens as they twirl around, and a flicker of electricity literally sparks between them.]
[A soft smile as he sends her out for a spin before pulling her back in, twisting her around so that her back is against him with his arm trapping her around her waist.]
But...we could always elope to make it "official" and still hold the ceremony.
[Oh, this is a new move... and she's visibly surprised by it with a tiny gasp, but she goes along with it, sliding her hands over his arms as they wrap around her from behind.]
Where would we go to make it official?
[Wouldn't Trahearne at least find out? But in the very back of her mind, the longer they dance together, the more she's humouring the idea.]
Honestly, I don't even know if there is an official registrar for this. I looked into it, but given that there is no established government... It really does seem just formality in creating some kind of certificate just to have.
[Just to make it more official, because they really are completely and utterly married in every other sense of the word besides a certificate or some kind of registration.
She sways with him for a big with her back tucked to his chest, and she savours his warmth, basking in it as much as she can before they inevitably move again. Little stars twinkle around her, and she reaches out to touch one of them, and it bursts into a tiny firework of golden glitter.]
Then again... [she gently prods.] It would make the day more special...
[Her expression is soft, affectionate, and it carries that same gentleness that she always has when she looks up at him.]
It's going to be the best day...
[And there's nothing that will stop it from being that. She's already riding that high, and if there's one thing that she's learned, it's that the positive emotions always outweigh anything negative that could try to creep its way in. Luck be damned, she is going to make sure that absolutely nothing ruins this day.
Speaking of, she looks around them.]
We need to show all this off anyway. What do you think...? Should we make it a little more explosive?
[As the song slowly begins to climb to what she knows is the climax.]
[She's going to just kiss that cheeky grin right off his face. Or try to, as she gets up on her tiptoes and steals a peck on the lips when he leans in.]
That's why... [Tifa begins with a light roll of her shoulders, and her gaze momentarily wanders up to the stars that are twinkling right over their heads within reach.] I figured we could practice in here rather than in our house.
[Because yes, she did think about that. Everything has been fine so far, but she didn't want to risk it.]
[She had kind of forgotten that they were standing in the middle of her bar. With the lights dimmed and the stars twinkling like the night sky, she had been so wrapped up in the atmosphere that she's a little embarrassed now.
So, she'll clear her throat and take him by the hand to lead him out the doors to a Sector Seven that he'll recognize from that night they walked through it together. Only this time, there's not a single soul around but them. The plate hangs above, the neon lights flash and blink on the storefronts, and she thinks...]
[He follows her out, the silence of no one else around a little strange, but not unwelcome as it really makes it feel it's just the two of them. And when she asks her question, he just smiles.]
[Those words... strike something surprising in Tifa. Something much more profound and meaningful than perhaps he had meant it to be.
"It's your dream," he says, but little does he realize that it's not just a dream in the tangible sense, in the way that this place has manifested before them. Everything about what they are doing, what they are about to do... and not just in this dreamscape but back in their lives in Reverein... it's all been her dream since she realized that she wanted to spend the rest of her days with him.
And now, she finally gets to make all that a reality. In more ways than one.
It's with misted over eyes that she leads him down the front steps of the bar, keeping her back to him to hide that smile that's spreading wide, and the glassiness of her eyes. She closes them and tries to imagine it all again—the stars, mainly, and slowly, they begin to form all over again like they had in the bar.

Makes it more exciting.
no subject
...Then I'll surprise you. Try not to get too impatient.
no subject
... I already am.
[For a number of reasons, and not just for the wedding. But mostly the wedding...]
It's coming up on us so fast, but... it kinda still doesn't feel quick enough.

You know how much I want to, but...
[She presses her smile to his lips.]

[Reverein's first, and all of their friends are looking forward to celebrating with them. And Tifa's expression softens as they twirl around, and a flicker of electricity literally sparks between them.]
After everything, I think... we could all use it.

[His lips move down from her ear to her neck.]
No one would have to know...

[All the more reason they should just elope—]

All right, you win.
[As always.]
I suppose it is worthy of being special.
[A light wry grin before he spins her around in place so that they can face each other again.]

It's going to be the best day...

no subject
Explosive? Do you think that's a safe idea?
[Some light ribbing as he teases her about her questionable control over her dreamotion.]
no subject
What's that supposed to mean?
no subject
[Oh he's definitely making fun of her now.]
no subject
And whose fault is that, huh? Maybe if someone didn't make me fall in love with him, this wouldn't be a problem, would it?
[If someone didn't make her feel things so strongly all the time!]
no subject
[He just, you know, helped a bit in making her realize it. Also he has strong feelings but he doesn't go around electrocuting things all the time!!]
no subject
[Her fingers trail up his chest with each word until she gives his chin a little tap.]
It's kind of hard not to be in love, you know? Can you blame me?
no subject
[He leans in a little, his gaze softening.]
I'd be a little disappointed if I couldn't gain some of your attention by just existing.
[And there's another slight cheeky grin.]
no subject
That's why... [Tifa begins with a light roll of her shoulders, and her gaze momentarily wanders up to the stars that are twinkling right over their heads within reach.] I figured we could practice in here rather than in our house.
[Because yes, she did think about that. Everything has been fine so far, but she didn't want to risk it.]
no subject
We'd still have to practice outside of the dream...but it's not a bad idea.
So what kind of "explosive" finale are you thinking of?
no subject
Fireworks.
[Literal fireworks. With fire and electricity...]
Kind of like this... She gestures to the flames and arcs of lightning that continue to spark and swirl around them. But with a little more...
[Gently, Tifa bumps a fist against his chest as she tries to find the right word.]
... Boom.
no subject
Okay, but let's not practice in your bar. We should go outside—unless you want to risk setting a fire.
no subject

Shall we set the mood out here too?

She folds her hands at her chest and beams.]
Now it just needs a touch of you.
