[ Ah, what love could be more pure than two horses in love... ]
Mmm! Since this is my first time, I don't want to miss the opportunity! [ Despite the probability that she will have the option to ride them again she knew horses were known for being fast... and maybe she wanted to live the images she had conjured up in her mind. ]
[At least get her used to the feeling of the horse as they continue to walk down the path towards the road that would lead them towards the forests of the Wildlands and beyond.]
[ Aaaaah okay okay maybe even walking was a little fast for her!? She lived on a floating ship for crying out loud, but as the horse began to walk her body tensed at the sudden movement.
She's back to nearly cowering against his chest- ]
N... not too fast, okay!? [ Alright she might be taking it back. At least for right now. ]
[ Ah!! Faster!! Things are getting faster but she's bracing herself as Lyria begins to become more accustomed to how her weight shifts with each step, and she is able to finally find her balance.
She's still gripping hold of the resigns very tightly, though... ]
Something were to happen? [ She's a little confused by the thought before she shakes her head. ]
Mmm, if anything were to happen... I'll protect us! [ That was the reason they were going out here, wasn't it? Even if it was a little scary to think about, she knew what the true purpose of her summoning was... and that was to keep her friends safe. ]
[Of course, he'll also keep a firm hold on her so she won't fall. And once she's ready, Eustace will tap his heel against Nyx's side to signal the large stallion into a canter. It'll be a little bouncy at first as he takes the first large steps, but it will quickly smooth out for that long, rocking gait as they run down the road.
Eustace still isn't sure if Lyria is ready for a full on gallop, so this should be a good test run.]
[ Lyria is already holding on with all the might she can muster as the horse sets off. The hold Eustace has on her is a big help for maintaining her balance. It... takes her a few moments of audibly reacting to the stiff and sudden movements, but eventually she feels herself slowly getting use to the rocking.
The wind against her skin felt wonderful, and she couldn't help but hum in delight. ]
Wheeee!!
[ Being so high up and seeing the sky above her... it almost felt like she was flying again.
She'll even gather enough courage to stretch an arm out to her side, allowing the wind to brush against her fingers as she curls them in and out to feel it go by. ]
[He's at first a little worried when she stretches out her arms, his own hold on her tightening just in case. But seeing and hearing her relaxed and enjoying herself brings a light smile to his face.]
[ She had full confidence in him that if she stumbled, Eustace would be there to catch her. Which is why her actions felt a little braver... especially with what he questioned next. ]
[And with that, there's a sharp kick of his heels and the stallion leaps forward, breaking into a fast run. Knowing it would happen, Eustace keeps a firm hold on Lyria in case she gets momentarily knocked around by the sudden change.
But the large stallion takes off over the road, kicking up the dirt as the wind whips past them.]
[ The sensation, at first, was daunting to the point that her small form was thrown back against the rush of pressure going forward. But the firm wall behind her and the hand that held stern from falling kept her steady, and after the initial shock has passed… the feeling of adrenaline entered.
She had felt this sensation before- the feeling of the wind fly past her- but something about this was different. It was closer, stronger than what she had felt before and Lyria did not dare close her eyes for feeling of missing out.
Breathless she will reach to the hand that’s holding her and give it a firm, but delighted squeeze.
She was cheering; laughing and screaming happily as if on an amusement ride. Compete and utter bliss. ]
[He was a little worried at first, afraid it might be too much for her. But upon hearing her cheering and laughter, Eustace relaxes and smiles above her as he lets the stallion run freely, following the long road as they get nearer and nearer towards the trees. The road continues through it, so soon they leave the open fields and enter the forest, trees now whizzing by them as they gallop through. It's all a bit of a blur, but eventually the stallion slows, the road no longer straight and even as it was before.
Now at a walk, Eustace glances down at Lyria, the sounds of the forest now surrounding them, from the rustle of the trees, to the birds singing, and the steady beat of Nyx's hooves.]
[ It takes her a moment to finally respond to Eustace's question, still feeling the rush of excitement running through her veins. It was exhilarating- a sensation she had only experienced very few times in her life. Scary... but fun!
Her words come out in pieces as her chest heaves from the laughter. ]
Th... that was... so... so fun!
[ As she allows the sounds of the forest to calm her further, a peace settles around them. Lyria feels weightless as she falls back against him. No longer feeling the need to tense up and attempt to maintain her own balance. ]
[A light smile as he lets her rest against him, letting Nyx take the lead as they amble along. It won't be too much farther, but he wants to let Lyria enjoy the ride as long as she can.]
Mm... After racing on speedships, I wonder.
[A small chuckle.]
But if they ever show up, I can let them have a ride, too. Maybe you could learn and teach them.

[For now he'll turn Nyx down the path to head out of the stables....
And once more ignoring the shrill neighs of the mare left behind.]

I'm not sure if you can handle more than a walk if you're already like this.
[And a trot would definitely have her bouncing around.]
no subject
But I am— I'm so ready! [ BORN READY ] I just wasn't expecting everything to move so quickly... or how long their legs were!
no subject
[WALKING ONLY. But maybe if they hit a stretch of road he'll pick up the pace. Maybe.]
no subject
Well, he did know more about this than she did… she was going to trust him to determine the speed.
She’s even slowly loosening up as her shoulders relax and a smile replaces her little pout.
There was something so relaxing about this, and Lyria was going to soak up every moment of it! ]
How far out is it again?
no subject
Mm... About fifteen minutes. I don't expect any issues, but if something were to happen we're far enough away yet close enough if we need assistance.

I can't let you do everything yourself.

no subject
Can't be helped... Just don't push yourself.
[He doesn't want her getting hurt on his account.
And the road is widening and straightening out, opening up to wild open fields. Who's ready for a run?]
no subject
I won't, but please be mindful of yourself, too!
[ She knows just how hard he's been working recently on everyone's behalf...
BUT YES. HYPER SUPER SONIC SPEED LET'S GO ]

You still want to go fast?

Ah, yes I do! Can we!?
