[Tifa slips her hand into his, and dips her face away.]
It was from a TV show I used to watch back in Midgar after I shut the bar down for the night. It was a sappy, romantic show about lords and ladies, and these big, fancy balls. ... It's not important.
[Even if it's no secret that Tifa is a romantic, talking about it is still embarrassing!!]
[Her gaze wanders to where their fingers are laced with one another's, and to the ring that sits snug on her finger, the aquamarine catching and sparkling in the light.]
[Her eyes go wide for a moment with realization before her whole expression softens.]
Right... That one.
[She knows the one. The one that started off as a terrifyingly fitting song that helped them both come to terms with their feelings when they were both too confused and scared to and then, as time went on, it slowly became... their song.
She's never had "that song" with someone before, but she feels her heart do a little flip at the thought.
Tifa surprises him by being the one to twirl him this time as the violin builds.]
What do you think about making that one our first dance...?
I could do it...! I could try writing up the sheet music with the piano. Maybe... you think Phantom would play it for us if we asked?
[Or is that asking for too much?]
I'm also thinking... maybe I could walk down the aisle to it, too.
[Even just thinking about doing that is making her stomach flutter with excitement and nervousness. Talking about walking down the aisle of her own wedding... Did she ever think she would see the day? And with this man?]
I believe so. He may even be able to help compose it. And...
[He's already imagining how she would look coming down that aisle in a dress. He hasn't seen it, so it's up to his imagination, but...]
...I think it would be good.
[Lovely, even.
Although he doesn't quite have that same fluttery feeling, like her it's hard to believe he's even imagining something like this...and that it will be real very, very soon.]
[His agreement has her blushing all over again, and she lowers her head to rest on his shoulder a moment, mostly so that she can hide her face.]
I think so, too...
[Her voice is whimsical and dreamy, almost distant, as her imagination wanders elsewhere. To the forests where the trees will be covered in snow and—without a doubt—starflowers. To where her dearest friends will be waiting, and where he will be standing as she walks down the aisle towards him to the piano playing that song for her...
Tifa has to force herself out of the imagery before she tumbles too far down, and she finally lifts her head.]
... You know, I wonder if we should give the song a name?
[They've been singing it to each other for months and months now, and they still don't even know what to call it.]
[He'll happily be lost with her in those similar thoughts, the hand at her waist pulling her a little closer as the one at her hand tightens a bit, his head leaning lightly against hers.]
........Hm.
[A small hum of realization.]
...I didn't even realize it didn't have a name. I suppose we should, huh...
[It really does fit them. Time and time again, they've come out on top of whatever these worlds try to throw at them. Whether it was to bring them closer together through adversity or if the stars were truly trying to keep them apart from one another, they've won.
She does, however, cast a rueful look at the jukebox when it starts to play the melody.]
Shouldn't we save it for our first dance? Besides... there was something I wanted to try...
[A brief pause...]
Although it might work if I can get the tempo on the sheet music right.
[He didn't force it to change, but he does wonder if their thoughts influenced it.]
But wouldn't it be better to practice to it, anyway?
[If it's going to be their song to dance to and all. At least he thinks it would make more sense than going in blind. However there was something else she said that sticks out more.]
[Her steps begin to slow, and she bounces a little on the balls of her feet. It's an idea she's thought about for a long time, perhaps even longer than he asked her to marry her, so voicing it out loud now... She meant to surprise him with it back when she surprised him with their new firepit, but maybe it's better that she just comes out and says it.]
Since emotions will probably be running pretty high at the wedding, I thought... maybe we could put on a little magic show for people, too.
[So it isn't just them twirling and dancing together.]
[Honestly, she wasn't even sure if he'd be into the idea, and so she only humoured herself until now, so when he agrees, there's visible relief, surprise, and glee all mixed into her expression when she lifts her gaze to meet with his, and she gives his hand a light squeeze in appreciation.]
Haven't thought much about that part just yet... I wanted to do that together... once I knew if you'd be okay with it...
[A pause as she gently twirls them around in place.]
Maybe something with the stars... and the flowers...
[It seems only fitting, but—]
Some fire and lightning or ice too? In a safe way, of course—!
["Haven't thought much about that"... sure, okay.]
Stars, flowers, fire, lightning, and ice....that would surely be quite the show if we did all of that. It also makes me think of the flowerworks from before.
Would it be its own separate thing? The ceremony or the dance?
no subject
It's good.
[He adjusts his hands to more properly hold her, and then—]
Where did you hear it from?
no subject
[Tifa slips her hand into his, and dips her face away.]

I'm surprised you didn't want to make our wedding more "royal" themed.
no subject
I could've but...
[Her gaze wanders to where their fingers are laced with one another's, and to the ring that sits snug on her finger, the aquamarine catching and sparkling in the light.]
I wanted it to be... us themed.
no subject
Us themed... I see.
[There's a soft smile as he leans in to lightly tap his forehead against hers, thinking of everything they've prepared for so far.]
I like that, too.
no subject
Speaking of themes... We're gonna need to start thinking about what kinds of songs we want. Especially if people are going to be playing.
no subject
[Slow, quick quick, slow, quick quick—and a turn.]
I don't really know many songs or music... Except one.
no subject
Just the one?
[That's both a little bit surprising and not at all.]
Which song?
no subject
The only one you like listening me sing to.
no subject
Right... That one.
[She knows the one. The one that started off as a terrifyingly fitting song that helped them both come to terms with their feelings when they were both too confused and scared to and then, as time went on, it slowly became... their song.

We could. Seems the most fitting for it. However... We'll need to figure out the music score for them to play.
no subject

[Huuum.]
Any thoughts?
no subject
[Tifa tries to think of the song in her head, tuning out the current music from the jukebox briefly so that she can hear it and the words...
And, with a small hum, she nods her head against his before she's peering up at him through thick, dark lashes.]
Well, Rewrite the Stars would make the most sense, wouldn't it? What with the lyrics and all.
no subject
...You're right, it does. We should go with that, then.
[...And it's still so very fitting for them.
As if on cue, the jukebox suddenly clicks and a slower, instrumental version of the song plays.]
no subject
She does, however, cast a rueful look at the jukebox when it starts to play the melody.]
Shouldn't we save it for our first dance? Besides... there was something I wanted to try...

[So it isn't just them twirling and dancing together.]
... Kind of like those dancers at the faire did.
no subject
A magic show with dreamotion?
[Like the dancers at the Faire...]
I'm fine with it. What would you like it to look like?
no subject
Haven't thought much about that part just yet... I wanted to do that together... once I knew if you'd be okay with it...

Was thinking it could be a surprise for everyone when we do the dance at the reception...? The riverside should be a little more open for it, too.
no subject
[It's a little difficult for him to imagine...but he doesn't think it's a bad idea.]
Perhaps during one of the high notes... Add a little spin to it.
[Literally. He twirls Tifa around as if in example.]
