But he's actually focused on eating and misses it.]

[Unbelievable. This man is unbelievable!

Tifa jabs him in the arm to get his attention, and now she's just going to go right in for the kill.]

Well? Aren't you going to help?

[Okay he wasn't expecting the jab and he actually frowns a little as he looks over at her.

...]

Do you need me to?

[starshower]

[Ah.

She flinches at that frown. She didn't think she hit him that hard?!?]

I... well...

[After a few beats, she lets her eyes drop to her mostly-finished crepe.]

... No.

[flamekthunder]

[He almost dropped the piece he had on his fork!!

But.

He's also only mostly pretending. So he'll continue to look at her with that frown before saying one word.]

Punishment.

[starshower]

For what!?

[She didn't do anything! He's the one who's been making all these hearts!!! Why is she the one being punished?

She takes a huge bite of her crepe, leaving just the last corner, pouting as she chews it.]

[Another hard look...

...

Before it turns sly as he suddenly leans in close, a burst of red hearts filling the space behind them.]

Being needy.

[and with those hearts as cover, he'll close the distance to slowly lick the cream first from the top of her nose and then around her mouth before pulling away.]

You'll have to wait for the rest.

[It was exactly what she was trying to fish for and even still—even after being together for as long as they have—he finds a way to make her blush, turn her flustered, and make her heart race. Her breath stalls in her throat, and she closes her eyes and tries to chase him for a kiss, but he escapes her before she can.

And she'll visibly "pout" at him as she takes that last final bite of her crepe.]

...So mean.

[She breaks character quickly enough, and politely dabs the rest of the cream away from the corner of her lips.]

You like it, though.

Like being mean to you?

No.

[Well. Maybe.

She sips on her tea.]

You like it when I'm "needy".

[flamekthunder]

[A quiet chuckle.]

Of course. In every sense of the word.

[Smirk.]

Speaking of...

[She bites down on her lip, tasting some of that leftover sugar that he had taken off only moments ago, and she stares down at her tea.]

...We should get going to the resort soon, yeah?

[flamekthunder]

If you're finished.

[As if he doesn't already know the answer to that. He'll look at the leftovers and grin.]

I'll get a box.

[starshower]

[They've got some leftovers—a few more of those small, heart-shaped crepes, some pastries, and at least her tea is already in a to-go cup.

But with the way these pink hearts all flutter about when she spots that smile of his...]

I'll, uh... wait for you outside. ... Before they stop me from leaving.

[flamekthunder]

[Pft.]

All right. I won't be long.

[She really is too cute, so after he stands, he'll place a hand behind her chair and lean down to give her a more chaste kiss on the lips before pulling away to get the box for the leftovers.]

[She smiles into it, happy to accept, and her pink heart bubbles will follow him as he leaves.

It's a bit of a fight to get out of her chair, the bubbles popping as she shoves them aside, but she somehow manages with her cup of peppermint tea in the other. The couple beside them giggle together, and she gives them a sheepish look as she leaves a mess of hearts behind.

She makes it outside, breathing the fresh air, and by the time he finds her, she'll be bouncing eagerly on her feet, waiting for him, and at least the bubbles have calmed to a light, steady stream.]

[They've certainly made quite the scene, but they're not the only guilty parties, at least. Just. Possibly the worst, hah. Not that he cares, and no one else seems to mind either at least. Makes getting the box and collecting the leftovers not too much of a hassle, and as promised he won't take long to exit, his hand immediately taking hers.]

See you've calmed down a bit.

[starshower]

[As soon as she feels his hand wrap around hers, those pink hearts come right back in full force, and Tifa gasps and whips around, surprised by his sudden presence behind her.]

Well, I was calmer... Until you showed up.

[She's going to tug him along now.]

No troubles getting everything packed up?

None at all. Though I did hear some whispering of a "very loved young woman"...

[She flushes again, or she never stopped blushing. Either way, she bumps her side into him and stays there, sticking to him like glue.]

They were probably talking about someone else...

Hmm, there were a lot of couples there.

[He'll let her try and flee for now, amused at her embarrassment.]

Was there anything else you wanted to go? Or do you really want to go straight to the room?

[He's fairly certain he knows the answer, but he asks anyway. Perhaps to tease her further by her answer.]

[Oh, she knows that they were talking about them. While they were definitely not the only couple in there who had the hearts, they were by far the worst. She saw it even as she was trying to leave and got chased out by her own bubbles.

Still, she appreciates the out, and as she looks around, she hums into her cup.]

Well. I thought about checking in on the orphanage that we visited last time we were here, but... I remembered all our stuff was taken up to the resort. Didn't wanna show up empty handed, so I brought some things that I thought might help.

Guess it's to the room then.

[starshower]

[She gives his hand a light squeeze, some of those hearts turning red.]

Maybe on the way back down?

[She's all for visiting the orphanage, and she wouldn't have packed all those nonperishables if she wasn't interested, but... she would be lying if she said she had any patience to wait much longer...]
