ღ 2/01: the promised dreamscape date; it first starts on the airship and he takes her to the society headquarters; after a brief introduction of his group, he takes her to one of his secret hideaways up in the forests where they share some intimate spicy times together...twice; they return to the airship and tifa does a dumb and while standing on the railing (after eustace kept warning her not to!!) she falls over; eustace immediately jumps off after her and shifts into a lindworm to fly down and catch her; he flies over the water, sharing a magical disney moment before they share deep feelings; spurred on by it, he flies up to the top of the mountain where they indulge in each other, reaffriming their vows and low to each other...and then again when tifa wants to give him new memories under the moon after he admits his complicated feelings towards it; after promising to bring her to other places, they exit the dreamscape...for one last passionate round(s).
ღ 2/11: joint post with tifa announcing her new café, Starflower Sanctuary, and the birth of new puppies from rhonwen and cadoc.
ღ 2/15: masquerade event: starts with her making him chase him out to the terrace where things get a little heated before they're interrupted and need to leave; they head to the bathroom so tifa can freshen up and more questionable flirting before tifa's terrible shakespeare makes eustace run away; eventually dancing, more romantic stuff, and then cloud will edit this later.
ღ 2/20: after the events of the masquerade, both are feeling rather tense with cloud's appearance; eustace is first to fully express his desires with tifa reflecting the same; but over the week, tifa starts showing signs of possessiveness that eventually culminates to the bleeding heart; lots of suggestive nsfw spice.
ღ 1/08: the two go to check on the new location eustace acquired for tifa's café and start figuring out where things can be put; just as they are uh, ahem, trying the counter's...sturdinesss, they hear a sound upstairs and discover a sprinkle covered fairy cat; they name it sprinkles and head outside to continue inspecting; they run into a fairy, maribelle, who claims to be the caretaker and "mother" of the kitten; they strike a deal with the fairy so that she can remain and help around the café; eventually they call it a day and return home where tifa has something to give eustace; she presents him with her original birthday present she had prepared for him back in avalon but had been unable to give him because of him falling asleep and inevitably disappearing; they are a matching pair of locket pendants with a silly picture of them when they went to the movies inside; they then share several intimate hours continuing where they left off until the dogs warn them of lyria's arrival; they spend the rest of the evening with her and before sleeping the topic of having lyria in their home comes up along with tifa's curiosity about her; eustace can only say so much since he feels that's something lyria should divulge, but he does tell her some basic information; he also reveals his initial mission to first monitor and then receiving the order to eliminate her as society originally viewed her as a threat, something he managed to overturn; they end with a promise of a dream date from eustace to show her some of his world to her.
ღ 12/03: official ceremony with trahearne officiating; they exchange their vows, then the rings before officially proclaimed husband and wife.
ღ 12/03: starts off with eustace bringing food to tifa and feeding her; after flirting they cut the cake and once again be cute as they feed each other; they take the starfruit and walk off towards the riverbank first to where they had been tossed into the river and then to the dock where they first met; eustace again proposes to her with the fruit; they somehow manage to it before losing control and start making out; eria interrupts them and makes them go back to the reception as they still had things to do; afterwards they send off the lanterns where eustace does his extra finale bit with flamek (heaven's starfall); they escape to the hot air balloon that takes them to the island (rip the monkey pilot having to deal with their PDA); their honeymoon is very spicy.
ღ 12/21: turn into gingerbread and deal with the chaos of the entire house and dogs becoming gingerbread first before heading out to help collect the notes around town; go on the train and see a vision of a potential "future" that involves raising a family and that's just a mess of feels.
ღ 11/05: tifa asks him to go into a dream with her and finds it set at her old bar, Seventh Heaven; they have a bit of fun pretending to be "bartender and client" and flirt as he tries a drink; dance.
ღ 11/06: WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT.
ღ 11/11: they visit the hot springs to see what they have to offer as prospective honeymoon destination; while getting a little steamy after a pocky game, they're interrupted by the two young dragons they helped back during the dream faire; they guide the dragons back to the nursery town located nearby and help out with some tasks to earn some vouchers; they finally get to tour the hot springs, but then have unfortunate luck in meeting the dragon that kidnapped eustace in her humanoid form; they still manage to get through and enjoy the rest of the trip.
ღ 10/04: tifa has a nightmare about the sector 7 plate falling and eustace goes back in with her so that he can see and help her through it; it's a recreation of the event with him taking cloud's place; she worries he'll think differently of her, but eustace has seen and experienced similar destruction as well as why she was part of AVALANCHE; they go to the remains of her bar and she tells him more about her life there; with his encouragement, she changes it to how it used to be.
ღ 10/06: tifa surprises him with a backyard bonfire with the dogs helping; enjoy some cool weather cuddle time and skewers as they discuss various things including wedding plans.
ღ 10/17: date at the carnival starts with tifa turning into a sexy werewolf queen and eustace hiding her under his cloak and going somewhere private; hose is not needed as they remember what happened at the faire and walk through the carnival to see what it's about; idris and aerona are with them.
ღ 9/03: cw: gore, death, suicidal ideation, trauma, just not a lot of fun stuff/topics covered here as well sexual themes referenced and addressed; this thing is 487 comments long so the blurbs are going to be more detailed lmfao crying • immediate post nocstace; a lot of pain and angst as the two work out what happened and how to navigate where they go from here • as they sleep eustace has a horrific nightmare involving his noctaere form seemingly having its own identity and trapping him as a lindwurm; tifa is able to pull him out • after the nightmare they talk about several topics: how both telling how they save the other; eustace slowly opening to tifa about his fears of losing her and knows she feels the same; makes the resolve to find a way for them to stay in songerein; their constant desire for sex as use in comfort and whether it's healthy or not, and decide that it's just how they are as it's always mutual and they still verbally communicate with each other • they eventually get up and continue the conversation in the living room; eria and clover keep them from being gross and getting distracted by sitting on eustace's lap; eustace opens up on how he felt during that time as a noctaere and all the fears and emotions that led to it; voices his doubts on whether she should stay with him and the self-loathing and even considering returning to his world to keep her out of his mess; an explosive outburst as everything he went through and led up to this point comes out; bit of a yelling match that ends with tifa finally able to break through and calm him down; they restate their vows to each other and with both overly emotional, it's back to bed • they were able to have a small nap and reset themselves for tifa's turn to open up and express her guilt about calling everyone; eustace calls her out on her always trying to take things on her own and keeping things to herself; tifa voices her insecurities and feeling weak; eustace suggests they do dream simulations with him as a lindwurm so they both can work to get over their fears and hangups; have another round before getting up to clean up and then turn in for the night • eustace has another nightmare, this one more gruesome and full of the above content warnings (very graphic; a lot of dead tifas); tifa is able to enter his dream and after encountering noctstace again she manages to find eustace who is trapped as lindwurm and tortured by having to kill clones of herself; she fights him and realizing she's the real one he tries to stop but it's only with her help eustace is finally able to break free and stop himself; tries to do self-destruction so they get out of the dreamscape but tifa won't have it; leads to him asking the same questions from before and she once again refutes them; he has her use her dreamotion fire to essentially purify the toxic nightmare energy while he uses lightning from the inside; it works and when he is freed a grotesque skeletal version of tifa is seen wrapped around his back, the source of everything; tifa frees him and now relieved of the burden that's haunted him since he first killed her in the lindwurmeo dreamscape, the rotten ground gives way to clear skies and their starflower field; reaffirm their need to be and work together; remain in the dreamscape to wake up together in the morning • time passes as they run the dream simulations and continue to work out the fears and guilt that still linger, but things improve over the next few days and weeks; tries to get cuddly on the couch but eria busts in with the corgis who are tired of always needing to stay out with the others; decide to go out a long overdue picnic outing with everyone and head to the corgi tree; eustace discusses about expanding their current home to have a lower floor exclusively for the dogs and occasional guests (with excellent sound proofing); also discuss tifa's future café and potential locations to scout; thinks about what to do with the corgi tree and perhaps turning it into some kind of wild dog sanctuary; go out for the picnic and eustace surprises tifa with the charm and dog tag necklaces, both repaired and needing to be refilledclick for subthreads, beware of the listed warnings as they are referenced in the blurbs
ღ 9/11: beatrix is one of the first to check on them and apologizes for not being able to do more; both are like no; after clearing up a few things, eustace asks her to help with security for the wedding.
ღ 9/11: although the hardest visit for eustace, aerith is adamant they move on and is equally as firm on tifa who struggles with her own emotional and confidence issues; forces them out shopping.
ღ 9/11: meets them at the dog park; has her own apologies and gives them special cranes and charms that help with nightmare energy; they walk her back to the clinic, and after leaving iris and rhonwhen with her they get into a group hug.
ღ 9/11: eustace and tifa were asleep so it's the dogs who greet oriphi first before getting them up with eustace being the one to greet the visitor to once—of course that's awkward; oriphi brought healing potions, dog treats, and some wine; oriphi decides to speak with the dogs as an indirect way to convey her thoughts on the matter, and the messages are received loud and clear; the dogs try to "help" by shoving eustace and tifa towards oriphi, but they end up tripping and end up in a dogpile kind of hug instead.
ღ 9/11: it's a crazy start with the dogs chasing the couple holding chocolate brownies and then a little awkward from lingering tension, but after clearing the air and exchanging apologies, trahearne gifts them with some blazing dawn flowers, a journal for eustace to document his experience, and a special notebook for them to document their future life together; eustace asks trahearne to officiate their wedding.
ღ 9/16: someone needs to spray them with a hose because they can't keep their hands off each other— there was definitely a suggestive innuendo when they were making their cotton candy cloud and they go home for a bit to "cool off" before returning to actually appreciate the faire; join a dance and...once again go home because they have problems..
ღ 9/20: first together dealing with baby dragons before they finally find an adult to take them (his dragon liked diamonds); another dragon swoops in and starts making heart eyes at eustace before taking him away; tifa eventually reaches the castle and there is a bit of a run around as they keep missing each other; they finally reunite but it's cut short when the dragon returns and they have to run; make it out of the castle and find a pegasus; after annoying exchange they fly off the island and eustace directs the pegasus to a field; there he proposes to her for the fifth time, this time with the ring.
ღ 8/18: during the oz event, they were separated and when he finally finds her she's a wisp; manages to change into the tinman role and rushes into the poppy field to find her; can't help but be reminded of her bloody corpse but is able to shake off the image to bring her back; turns back to toto role.
ღ 8/11: (forward dated to 8/27ish) eustace and tifa go out to explore the old cliffside to try and find glowing dawn flower caves; lindwurm attacks and when tifa is critically injuried eustace loses it and turns noctaere.
ღ 7/02: on their camping vacation; eustace proposes using his old dog tags in lieu of rings (still being prepared); tifa accepts and also gives him special charms she had prepared for them; extreme spicy times; manage to wake up to see the sunrise; tifa finally tells him about her as a member of avalanche and what transpired before; discuss potential of opening her own bar, maybe similar to a pet cafe; regain eria and clover from avalon.
ღ 7/06: at the ocean play with the sea pups; later meet up for the campfire and she's clearly tipsy; they are gross and cute as usual.
ღ 7/22: dreams himself as a wolf going through various stages of his life, from how he used to be alone watching everyone to slowly joining the Grandcypher crew, to meeting tifa and eventually proposing to her; continues to show him with a family of two pups; ends with tifa's death and a voice reminding him the harsh reality that they live in a dream world; when they wake up they do not have a good time as tifa had been watching the dream through the her wolf's point of view; end up leaving to go to the campsite to watch the sunrise; eustace discloses his fears over her death is worse than returning to her world and also reveals to her about his research into nightmares and concerns about himself; does reassure her that he doesn't feel anything; they reaffirm their feelings and their relationship is strengthened.
ღ 6/03: eustace and ferran are coming back from dealing with otto's mess and tifa spots them; learns eustace WAS SHOT and freaks out; bit of a stormy atmosphere until they go to a clinic and the trio split to return home; argue over wanting to protect the other and wanting the other to be safe; to prove his abilities he shows her a dreamscape first of a normal mission and then the fight against diaspora; tifa is a bunny in his pocket the entire time; smoochy times; discuss a little about flamek; tells tifa she's his "partner for life".
ღ 6/12: rescue pups that had wandered out; get attacked and is bitten in the shoulder; make it back and is treated and they start talking about "puppies"; later eustace is trapped in a nightmare about tifa dying and he just has a very bad time with it; make plans to go camping because they need a vacation like damn.
ღ 6/16: tifa has a dream about flamek in a human form and marrying eustace...it leads to many questions and further discussion about their relationship; eustace asks if she wants to marry in general; still not official yet even if they're practically married already.
ღ 5/04: tifa is in the process of moving into his treehouse and they cute domestic times; but on the final morning he accidentally discovers the goodbye letter "he" had written back in Avalon; his wish to know what their life had been like back then prompts his connection to be lost and "wakes up" from Songerein; tifa discovers him gone and the fallen letter and suffers alone for three days before he finally returns; by this time he's been updated to include his time in Avalon so their memories are completely aligned; when he returns he's out in a field and he first runs back to the treehouse to find it completely devastated from tifa's emotional fallout; not finding her there he goes to the corgi tree where she's "celebrating" her birthday alone with the dogs; there is a lot of emotional fallout as he has now left her twice; he tells her what happened and how he would have strange dreams that may have included her and eria; a lot of feelings why can't they just be happy; the dogs get in on the action; eventually go home, discuss more about what happened and reaffirming their feelings, and after much "making up for lost time" they hang up the name plaque he had gotten for them.
ღ 5/16: tifa catches him trying to play bass guitar; tifa tries to teach him a bit and they later return home to chase out the rats; they both get tripped up with a "mom" and "dad" joke from the dogs.
ღ 5/17: tangled up in the seaweed; manage to get out and swim around, relaxing a bit before heading to the castle.
ღ 4/08: flower festival date part 1: they try to make flower crowns but he makes her a flower ring instead; tifa makes their flower crowns and they flirt around in the flowers before her flower crown turns into a flower veil; it keeps growing as they continue to think about each other and they finally manage to stop it; eustace makes her a new flower crown; talks a little of when he was younger and making flower crowns with his mother; take the veil to be held at a store before going back out to the festival.
ღ 4/14: flower festival date part 2: try out the bubble dart game which includes a "remedial lesson" for tifa and bubbles turning into hearts; make an r19 erotica story adventure much to the owl's dismay; they take a ride up into the tree on a butterfly for a break; petals fall around them and they reveal images involving the two of them; one in particular is of a dream family with tifa (tifa has one implying a wedding) which stirs numerous different thoughts and feelings in him; intimate moment is ruined when eustace gets snatched by a book cage and he has a bad time as the book drains him of his dreamotion, cursing at being trapped again and twists his doubts and fears about their relationship; it's a tough struggle but tifa gets him out and the butterfly takes them to a safer spot to recover before eventually dumping them at his treehouse; he treats her and they discuss what happened and the main issue the cage brought up: what their future would look like in this world; while resting, eustace decides to take the plunge in asking her to live with him for now but is disrupted by giant butterfly so question postponed until later.
ღ 4/24: flower festival date part 3: tifa is crowned flower king but is stuck in a crazy feather costume and eustace is a fairy knight; he tries to help see if it can be removed and it doesn't go quite as planned; they separate to meet others at the festival (mostly tifa) and then later meet for flowerworks after the costumes have been removed; he takes her to an abandoned barn he found and they sit up on the roof to watch the flowerworks; after a lot of reflecting, eustace asks her to live with him and she accepts.
ღ 3/01: night after their confessions, tifa dreams of camelot and runs to him; he also had his own nightmares and is awake, starting to write down everything; he shows her some of it while hiding the worst; tifa shares some of the memories from camelot up to the stalker lady but withholds their relationship there; asks her out on a date since she claims to have missed out on the fake date plan.
ღ 3/09: the promised date and it is ~magical~; cooking lessons to make a souffle; walk through the gardens where they get rainbowed and then pranked to have ears (tifa) and tails (both); questionable cuddle times in a gazebo; picnic out in a field after a romantic horse ride; and then back to his place for a very spicy night to cement their relationship with one another.
ღ 2/04: go on a not date on valentine's that ends up with him being affected by the bleeding heart and makes him unreasonably jealous especially when a cloud lookalike appears; much spice and even more spice after it's taken care of; relationship still questionable but it's becoming more definite as they clearly are into each other.
ღ 2/12: he and tifa are cast as romeo and juliet in the lindwormeo dreamscape event:
• scene one: love at first sight. the two meet in the garden and at first share a dance until tifa realizes eustace has the curse and is upset; they share a touching, romantic tryst and eventually share one more dance before they have to part; tifa is banned from speaking in shakespeare.
• scene two: balcony. share a very passionate musical rendition of Rewrite the Stars but are left wondering if it's their own feelings or the influences of romeo and juliet,
• scene three: elope. the two elope at the chapel and move to romeo's hideout; they share an impassioned night together as their true feelings are once more tested as they feel certain that what they share is their own and not of the original characters; however afterwards, the curse worsens and eustace attacks tifa, forcing her to find the cure on her own while eustace locks himself in the room, horrified at what he'd done.
• scene six: tragic ending. the curse continues to worsen as knights of both familiies begin their pursuit; eustace makes tifa run away without him as he stays to fight them off instead; tifa returns and tries to help him, however because the curse is based off the hatred towards the capulets he ends up losing his mind and kills her instead; he goes berserk and completely transforms into a lindworm, killing everyone around him before he's finally killed; there are some signs that he might have started to turn into a noctaere.
ღ 2/23: night they return from the dreamscape and everything is bad with mental and emotional trauma from killing tifa, but they finally confess their feelings of love for each other and officially become an established couple; eustace becomes concerned about the nightmare energy starting to accumulate around him.
ღ 1/02: tifa's helping around the corgi tree and it gets too late so she stays the night; they somehow get into a joint dream with their childhoods mixed together and tifa's is predominant, the setting in nibelheim and it being eustace's birthday; neither are aware despite feeling the odd twinge of incongruity; the dream continues to follow the sequence of sephiroth's and zack's arrival all the way to sephiroth destroying the reactor; eustace is somehow held back and is able to chase vitty to see the destruction of both his home village and tifa's before rushing to reactor; he's frozen in place unable to do anything but watch as tifa tries to fight but is cut down; he's freed and at first frantic before he realizes it's all a nightmare, specifically tifa's memory; no longer in the form a of a young boy, he uses ice to stop the blood flow and picks up tifa to carry her out and eventually manages to wake her up.
out of the dream, eustace tries to comfort tifa while figuring out some things about the dream; learns he took cloud's place; seeing the snow outside, he recreates it indoors for her to get a closer look; at this point he once again recognizes the budding feelings he has for her and tries to distance himself; however after seeing the aurora lights outside and tifa once again overwhelmed, he ends up unable to keep that resolve and the two hook up with mutual consent and enthusiasm; however afterwards there are some doubts and regrets given how unclear things are, but they at least confirm it wasn't shallow; in the morning they decide to put things on pause as they figure things out as things have been a rollercoaster ride up to that point; eustace does give tifa an ultimatum of sorts that he would help her forget cloud if needed.
ღ 1/06: tifa stumbles into eustace's childhood nightmare reliving the moment his home village was destroyed; seeing tifa as a terrifying creature, he runs off, forcing tifa to fight the noctaere before she chases after him; vitty appears before tifa to guide her to eustace lying in the snow; she picks him up and with vitty guiding carries him through the snow towards a giant wall of ice; there's a big enough crack and inside is a maze of frozen paths, some places warmer than others, until they reach a frozen chamber; tifa tries to imagine seventh heaven to counter the chilling cold created from the heavy loneliness eustace has felt for most of his lfie; he finally awakens and vitty shows them how to get out through a window that eustace has to open himself; out in a field they are able to relax before eustace wills himself awake, but not before mumbling about wanting to see her when she overs to come over.
out of the dream, tifa goes to his house and share a few drinks while discussing his dream; at some point he gets tired enough to flop his head onto her lap...and then drunk enough to kiss her; although it's briefly reciprocated, tifa wisely pulls away and he agrees to go to bed with her assistance; he wakes up to find tifa sleeping in a chair next to him and is surprised; she makes him some breakfast to help with his hangover before she leaves on awkward terms.
ღ 1/20: a little awkward, but they babysit baby owl that includes making it a plush toy, going through town (and suffering) to give it some food, buy it two more plushies (a white dog and black haired girl); he does get a surprise kiss on the cheek, that's a plus; they return it to its mother but there is a small sibling tiff as one of the siblings try to steal its toys, but it manages to fend it off; they can finally leave the owl and toys with the mother; they go on a coffee and shopping "not date" after to have a normal day together; tifa reminisces on how they first met in camelot and the pet café they went to; she tells him about her bar and how she started it; brief discussion of how she wants to open up something and he'd help with the set up; they spend the rest of the day shopping and do not get cursed with bad luck for once.
ღ 12/04: ice fishing at the lake to gather scales for the corgis brings out the singing fish (that eustace almost electrocutes on sight); the fish offer to give some after they ice skate; although disgruntled, they start with tifa needing help from eustace to relearn how to skate; they manage to have fun skating around before a red gumdrop appears, causing them to return to their gear; the gumdrop traps them in place and demands a kiss; tifa tries with a quick one on his cheek but it's not satisfied and it causes the ice beneath them to break; they're dropped in and eustace manages to pull them out; tifa is unresponsive and he manages to bring her to a cave to try and revive her; after a chance to warm up, the gumdrop forces them back into a kiss abd eustace takes the initiative this time; gumdrop leaves satisfied as feelings stir between them, but they're left awkward, disappointed, and uncertain as they remain unsaid.
ღ 12/20: both are reindeer; at the toy factory, eustace covers tifa and guides her to his spot before they have to move before the toys reach them; tifa goes down to help the elves escape with eustace covering her; elves make it out but tifa is trapped when a mountain of boxes fall, forcing eustace out to try and help; he gets pulled into a box instead and tifa follows after, leaving them both trapped in very awkward compromising position; the sexual tension is real as they try to escape; when they finally manage it is very awkward.
ღ 12/26: after the dreamshift and unknown to eustace, del delivers a christmas gift he had been delaying giving to tifa; she figures it out and goes to the corgi tree to find him to deliver her own to him; he still feels a bit awkward after what happened during the dreamshift, but they get over it to open the gifts; he receives a gun maintenence kit, tifa gets a jar of dried flower candies, potpourri, and a hairpin (courtesy of rose); instead of leaving, eustace allows tifa to stay to look after the dogs as he works on finishing the spell to help them leave the tree; after she gives a few a bath she offers to make dinner; it gets a little domestic and there are surprise flowers in the dish (from tifa's emotions but he doesn't realize it); he walks her back, they act cute, and when they reach her house eustace gets punched with realization of his attraction and maybe feelings towards tifa when he almost kisses her.
ღ 11/09: at corgi treehouse; eustace has no memory of her and believes she's a threat, so big fight; she manages to make him remember part of his past, but it ends up causing a negative reaction that renders him unconscious; owl appears to tell her to get the cala lilies so he can drink the nectar; bit of embarrassing almost cpr occurs but he recovers consciousness; they work through his altered memories until they figure out that something happened to the previous guardian and eustace had been cursed to take his place; he tries to step outside and at first nothing happens until he sees the remains still outside; he has another episode and after tifa pushes him back in he's able to recover and explain the tragic story; they work to clean the dogs and the house and eustace slowly regains his memories in the process; they eventually break the curse by running through a magical barrier; they return to the tree and tifa would come by often to help around.
ღ 10/11: eustace can't resist petting werewolf tifa's ears, and it gets worse when they both transform into dogs and he can't control wanting to cuddle with her SHE WAS TOO ADORABLE... after chasing after the kids they turn back, but eustace has a strange episode of actual vampire urges and tifa body slams him just in time. very awkward.
ღ 9/05: meet again at riverbank and they are cursed with the zodiac stickers; eustace had been kicked into the river by zidane and had just come out, and then one of the flower pups rush in to send them both into the river where the singing fish tease them with romantic songs; once they're out he can finally apologize.
ღ 8/19: tifa recognizes him from camelot but he has no memory of it; although tifa tries to tell him what she knows, eustace remains suspicious and he walks away from her, leaving them on negative terms (he made her cry!!!).
ღ 12/02: special date at the restaurant that started it all; eustace gives tifa a gift; timeskip to his birthday but it will be their last night together.
ღ 11/08: they have a couple's treat at the hot springs; walk around and do the pocky game; have a spa massage that stirs some jealousy (mostly on tifa); hot springs spice 👀 (suggestive nsfw...and then nsfw); feelings and relationship are established.
ღ 11/19: checking out castle eustace is going to refuse and have some winter fluff and sad backstory talk.
On December 3, 2022 the two were officially married.
