[She tucks a strand of hair behind her ear nervously as they come up to the end of the street, right in front of this creperie and café that she had been admiring their entire walk over.]
[Okay, well, he could have at least offered her a chaste kiss on the cheek or something after all that!? She's left standing there... again... staring at him with a slight look of bewilderment on her face before following after to catch up.]
Reminding you that we are on a date, my dear husband.
[She catches his gaze with hers as she walks a pace ahead of him so that she can open the door.]
[And there goes another one, right from the tip of her nose where he touched her, and this one feels a little warm... Warm and tingly enough that she brings up a hand to her nose before going in after him.]
Um... why don't you grab the orders?
[She's too embarrassed to go up to the counter and do it!!!]
[How is it that no matter where they are or what they are doing, he manages to get that bit of a shudder out of her when he does that? As if that buzz of heat wasn't enough, it's only made worse by the way those hearts continue to filter into the air.
She glances up at him through her lashes before she tips her head away, the stares of the other patrons making her more flustered.]
And a peppermint tea, please.
[Off she goes!!! She's going to go find a table right at the very back!!!]
[She might hear his low, quiet chuckle before she completely disappears and he goes off to the front where the counter is. There's a bit of a line so he has to wait for a bit, and when he finally makes it to the table hopefully his beloved wife has calmed her red hearts a bit.]
They had a special going on, so I got a few others we can try.
[As he sets down the tray, she'll see that not only is there the strawberry and cream crepe (with extra cream ho ho), there are also some small pastries and a cinnamon apple crepe he considered trying. And with her peppermint tea, he opted for an espresso with some extra cinnamon.]
[Well. At least she did get a little bit of a reprieve. She doesn't know why these bubbles are so pushy about it, but she could at least escape them as she sat near the back of the shop, tucked away in a corner along with crawling ivy and plants. The red hearts have all popped, but the pink ones flutter up the moment that Eustace returns.]
...Thank you.
[She huffs out a relieved sigh and looks over the spread.]
[She watches him with fondness, that headtilt making her heart flutter. He didn't need to get all of this, but he did anyway, and she does plan on showing him her gratitude.
And she'll start by shuffling a little closer to him.]
I guess we could take some back to the resort with us. Whatever we don't finish... Eat the rest of it there.
[A good thing she can force herself to be distracted by the food and the drinks rather than the blatant way he tries to make those red hearts appear again.
Maybe if she just plays along? Plays it cool?]
Hm? You must have something extra special planned, then.
[It could be because the hearts are making her that much more embarrassed about this whole thing, but the way that grin of his burrows right into her heart and makes a home there is so much more insistent than most. And on a normal day when she isn't about to be consumed by bubbles, it's pretty damn insistent.
But she'll be sure to show her gratitude for him sparing her long enough for her to eat later. For now, she's happy to dig into the crepe, taking it carefully between her fingers and biting into it, whipped cream dabbing her nose.]
You know... I was thinking of learning how to make these for the café sometime...
Basically, and they're not too complex. The ones they had here were stars and hearts, and instead of it folded over like these, they were more flat, more similar to a pancake.

[And just going to suddenly lean in to brush his thumb against the corner of her lips.]
no subject
I also seem to remember how I got it off.
[Her lashes flutter just a bit when she glances up at him.]
But not in front of the shop, Eustace.
no subject
If you say so.
[And then pulls back, smirking before he heads towards the shop.
WELL SHE SAID SO.]

Reminding you that we are on a date, my dear husband.
[She catches his gaze with hers as she walks a pace ahead of him so that she can open the door.]
You could have just kept it simple.
no subject
I don't think I could.
[Little nose boop before he steps through. Thank you, wife~]
no subject

[And then low against her ear.]
With extra cream?

Are we going to be able to eat all of this!?
no subject
[Just a slight tilt of his head as he looks down. He may not be the biggest sweets person, but this doesn't look so much to him...]
no subject
[She watches him with fondness, that headtilt making her heart flutter. He didn't need to get all of this, but he did anyway, and she does plan on showing him her gratitude.

Wouldn't be a bad idea.
[And then a light smirk as he leans in closer to her as he sets her plate in front of her.]
Once we're there, I don't want us disturbed.
no subject
Maybe if she just plays along? Plays it cool?]
Hm? You must have something extra special planned, then.
[It doesn't work.]
no subject
[Nope. But he will spare her a bit so she can eat, even as he flashes her that wolfish smile of his before cutting a slice of that crepe.]
no subject
But she'll be sure to show her gratitude for him sparing her long enough for her to eat later. For now, she's happy to dig into the crepe, taking it carefully between her fingers and biting into it, whipped cream dabbing her nose.]

[Cue more pink hearts as she bites into her crepe again.]
...Wonder what kinds people would like... We could do some savoury ones too, for the people who don't like sweets.
no subject
[Different ingredients, different styles...
And he's just going to nonchalantly reach over to brush his thumb over her lips to swipe away some cream and strawberry filling.
Nonchalantly.
With a heavy gaze and smirk.]
no subject
[Her eyes close slowly, and she presses a kiss to his thumb, her smile spreading.]
That means you'll have to learn how to make them, too.
no subject
[It's a good thing they're in public or this would have gone farther, but he just licks his thumb instead before continuing with his own piece.]
They also make them into different shapes.
no subject
Like what? You'd have to cut them a certain way, wouldn't you...
[Yes, just keep focusing on the crepes.]
no subject
Basically, and they're not too complex. The ones they had here were stars and hearts, and instead of it folded over like these, they were more flat, more similar to a pancake.
no subject
But then how do they get the filling inside and keep it there?
